Abstract
The paper describes a process of translating technical documentation in international infrastructure projects, and shows that it does not fit into a simple scheme “customer for translation – provider of translation services”, but is unavoidably accompanied by technical communication between an end user of the translated documentation, a direct customer for the translation and a provider of translation services.
