Abstract
The article deals with the problematic aspects of the most appropriate, the maximum equivalent translation of English phraseology. Traditional analyzes already verified approaches to translation, the main approaches to the identification and classification of phraseology. With special attention paid to the peculiarities of translation of phraseological neologisms and nonce words. Which have already entered into a figure of speech, but has not yet gained official status of stable and therefore not included in the Oxford English Dictionary, which is updated annually speech tumors. Such neologisms being translated into Russian require careful and balanced approach, which allows to convey not only the content but also the spirit of the original, it has a particular mental color, stylistic coloring.
