Abstract
The article analyzes the varying types of phraseology with component-names of animals in Russian and English. Studies have shown that variation - structural private property, which indicates the dynamic interaction in the language categories variability and stability. The comparative analysis shows the similarity of the structural organization of the studied units in Russian and English.
