Abstract
The article presents the artistic image of «pereobiraty cart» that L. N. Tolstoy repeatedly mentions in his journalistic work - letter-article "As to free the working people?" Using a detailed analysis of this artistic image we identify theme, composition, janerobertstudio and poetic features of the given works.
