Abstract
This article is dedicated to researching of the city through the movement of the active subject, in order to reveal all the peculiarities of the authorial language realization of the space model. One of the basic elements forming the city picture as travelling was examined in the work, where the main character plays the role of the traveller-seeker after adventures. Having analyzed the character’s move, the tourist nature of Simenon’s novel was found out.
