Abstract
The article presents the analysis of native speakers’ surnames in Shoksha dialect of the Erzya language. The analysis is based on the villagers’ names in Sakaevo village of the Republic of Mordovia, Tengushevskiy district. The author characterises the structure of anthroponyms, sources of street names. The study presents a classification of surnames depending on their constituent bases.
