MODERN INTERPRETATIONS OF ASPECT CATEGORY VALUES IN RUSSIAN LANGUAGE

Abstract
This article reviews the modern concepts in interpreting the content of Aspect category in Russian language according to traditional grammar and pragmatics. According to the traditional view, the perfect aspect expresses a new situation, integrity, limitedness, while imperfect aspect is characterized by explicit procession. According to pragmatics perfect aspect expresses singularity and allows three kinds of interpretation: chain and perfect quazi perfect. Imperfect aspect bears an idea of the real multiplicity and is characterized by durative and imperfect values.
