Abstract
The study of the novel Sologub opens up new possibilities for understanding the creative atmosphere of the beginning of XX century. Triptych "created legend" - a completely new word in the development of Russian classic novel tradition. The myth in the novel is organizing a special space, different from the surrounding reality and determine the existence of a single creative personality, which suggests the existence of a special philosophical and artistic common discursive space.
