Abstract
The paper analyzes the structural features of the component-zoonyms set phrases in Russian and English languages. Research has shown that component-zoon has great potential for the formation of phraseology and is characterized by frequency of use. The comparative analysis shows a significant similarity of the structural organization of the studied units in the Russian and English languages.
