THE OTHER-NATIONAL COMPONENT OF IDENTITY IN THE ENGLISH LITERATURE OF MODERN TIME

Abstract
Article deals with the problem of identity in terms of other-national component in the English literature of the 18-19th centuries. It is shown that the artistic development of the Other began simultaneously with the formation of Modern Time. It is proved that English novelists, A. Ben, W. Beckford, R. Kipling among them, made a significant contribution to the study of the other-national imagery and promoted a better understanding of human condition.
