KIPLING’S NOVEL “THE CAPTAINS COURAGEOUS” AS THE ALLEGORY OF THE AMERICAN FUTURE

Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of R. Kipling’s Novel “The Captains Courageous”, its genre peculiarities as a navy novel, its place in Kipling’s creative works and in English literature, its problems and poetics. The novel is introduced into the Ukrainian context of literary criticism for the first time.
