IMAGE OF SEREI (ZERESH) IN THE PLAY «AHASUERUS ACTION» I.G. GREGORY: LITERARY RECEPTION, BIBLICAL ORIGINS

Abstract
The article deals with the one of the plot-female images in the first play of Russian theater “Ahasuerus action” I.G. Gregory. The image of Serei (Zeresh) based on the Old Testament story of Book of Esther and has literary origins associated with the work of English playwright William Shakespeare and his tragedy "Macbeth". Image of ambitious vengeful heroine Serei is one of the key image when considering the negative female images on the material of the early Russian drama.
