ON THE ROLE OF HESITATION PAUSES IN SPONTANEOUS SPEECH

Abstract
The article is devoted ambiguous approach to hesitation pauses. Causes for their presence in oral spontaneous speech, and the reasons by which speech disruptions may adversely affect the communication process are discussed. Hesitation pause phenomenon is considered from the points of view of the speaker and the listener, and determined its role in contemporary linguistic situation.
