Abstract
In this research the ironical mode in L.Ulitskayaꞌs story «Sonechka». Research is consentratrated on the life in Ulitskayaꞌs story and mechanism of creating new consept by means of irony according to the theory of modes by Russian literary critic M.Bakhtin and Canadian philologist and folklorist N.Fray.
