Abstract
The article investigates the contents of a concept «BELLUM», its core and peripheral values, emotional and axiological characteristics, its place in the language world of the ancient Romans. Through the prism of the concept explored features worldview of the ancient Romans, the specifics of government of the Empire, relations between people, nations, and peoples in the context of values.
