Abstract
In this article the religious christian overtones of the novel "On the eve of" by Ivan Turgenev is analyzed. The "messianic" plot becomes the object of the remifologization, and this implied plot is represented in the title symbolics. The "messianic" code is realized in the motives of self-renunciation and love victim. The archetypical plot of the searching by the human soul its sensе of life is hidden behind the fabulny peripetias of the love collision. During this search the "natural" man who represents the values of the eudaimonia culture, is outdated, and the "spiritual" man is born The implied sensе is full of the messianic expectation of the such person.
